LETTER #1

December 11, 2016

Hi Jerry,

First of all, I would like to express gratitude for the work you've done and the courage you've shown in talking openly about this issue.  It can't be easy taking on the medical community and public in general on such a misunderstood and taboo subject.

I first saw one of your interviews on a Swedenborg video on Youtube and was struck by your insights and the experiences you shared.  I realize that the theory of voices being external entities may sound ludicrous to science but on the other hand, treating patients based on this premise is the ONLY method to have worked so far.  So I share your frustration when I see the establishment continue to cling to the "chemical imbalance" rationale despite it having never been proven nor resulted in any remissions of "auditory hallucinations".  It has become a revenue stream for Big Pharma, and everyone has given up on trying to find a cure for these people.  Again, I am so happy to see someone like yourself trying to do the right thing!

So about me.  I am a "normal" person working in Canada in the IT field.  I personally have never had auditory hallucinations.  However, about seven years ago, I started dating a lady who would later become my wife.  At the time, I was interested in spirituality and in particular, NLP and hypnosis as a way to find inner guidance, release trauma, etc. So I am in no way connected to the medical community but I would consider myself a rational thinker.  That said, in my explorations with consciousness, there seems to be so much "anecdotal" evidence that the door must remain open to other "non-material" explanations for some observed phenomena, such as auditory hallucinations.

Anyway, one day I offered to give my wife a guided meditation.  She is someone who almost immediately goes into deep trance.  I spoke with her "higher self" about some of her problems and concerns and so on.  Before long though, she was "attacked" in trance, where evil ones, that is her guide's phrase not mine, would attack, send bad thoughts, enter the body and even speak to me.  Long story short, a lot of drama ensued and I stopped doing these sessions as I felt was not being helpful at all.  The entities also seemed to get stronger and although my wife often had no recollection of sessions at a conscious level, she seemed weaker and more fearful in general.  Over several years these "events" where she would wake up in the middle of the night as someone else or fall into trance on her own eventually stopped.  It has been years now since she has had an episode and I would consider her to be in complete remission.  Oh I forgot to mention, she had no previous history of this until her first hypnosis session with me.

During all this time, I have wrestled with a scientific explanation and at the same time been fearful of ever daring to speak to anyone about this.  Was she crazy?  Was I?  Until I saw your video and then I felt reassured that there is much more to this that cannot be explained by usual means.

I really feel that if more understanding can be brought to this subject, a lot of people can be helped.  So I wanted to ask you if I may...

Have you ever contacted the same entity in two different patients?  This would surely be good evidence that the phenomenon is not "in a patient's head".

Dear SM:

Thanks for writing.  See answers to your questions below:

>> Have you ever contacted the same entity in two different patients?  This would surely be good evidence that the phenomenon is not "in a patient's head".<<

The answer to this one is no.  It appears that these entities are assigned to destroy one individual.  Schizophrenic patients cannot hear each others voices.  At one time while working in the psych department of the state prison, I thought like with other groups of patients I could run a group with patients having the same mental disorder.  It was a disaster.  From what these patients told me, they actually can sense others who are hearing voices and they avoid each other.  Never have I seen or heard of the same voices infesting different patients, however, the same patient might have heard the same voice or voices for years and even have given them names.  There is only one instance in which I encountered a schizophrenic who was dating another schizophrenic with both hearing voices.  The stories this fellow had to tell were fascinating.

>>Have any of your patients had other types of senses involved in these hallucinations, such as sight, feeling a presence, etc?<<

Oh Yes to this one.  These entities appear to be able to manipulate all of their victim's senses.  Although they most commonly manifest as voices in the patient’s head which lucky patients sense do not belong to them.  This realization is critical for those stricken with these entities to recover.  The voices do everything possible to get their victims to believe that they are the patient's own thoughts.  I've had several patients who asked them "Who are you?"  Their response was, "We are you."  They do indeed sound just like their victim's normal everyday thought, however, their intent is malicious.  They bombard the patient with negative, derogatory thoughts about themselves and others.  They command the patient to do things that get them in trouble then deride them for doing it.  The truth of the matter is that they are parasitic entities which feed off of negative emotional energy that we can generate and they cannot.  This accounts for the reason that virtually all of the messages they insert into a patient's head are negative, shameful and guilt ridden.  If you ask a schizophrenic patient how much energy they have before the voices attack and how much they have left after the voices leave, they will tell you that after they leave, they often feel so drained and depressed they can't even get out of bed.  Some reported they could even feel their energy leaving during such attacks.  I have no idea how they accomplish this, but the phenomenon is 100% consistent.  Somehow, despite the fact that some schizophrenics have experienced this energy drain hundreds or even thousands of times, they cannot make the connection between their being drained of their energy and the resultant deep depression and the appearance of these voices.  As you mentioned in your note, psychiatry and the Ivory Tower have spent no time or effort studying the voices these people hear.  They have dismissed them as hallucinations ignoring the fact that real hallucinations are random, some positive, some negative and everything in between where the voices schizophrenics hear are consistently virtually 100% negative and move the patient only in a negative direction.  The more negative emotional energy they can generate from their victims, the stronger they get.  They can interfere with and influence all of the human senses.  I've had patients report strong foul smells when they were around.  Often at night they appear as demons and patients can feel them.  Matter of fact during the last several years working with these patients, I could feel them.  It was a strong, icky electrical feeling.  I was able to tell how upset they were with me and the patient and how strong they were based on the intensity of this feeling.  I've seen scratches on patients that they reported the voices inflicted at night.  They can attach to people and inflict physical damage.  I heard one report of a patient who reported they were working on her eye which eventually ended up going crooked.

>>Have you encountered a "higher self" or "guide" type of voice in patients?  This is characterized by a very calm demeanor, very patient, wise personality who is very loving of the patients themselves.<<

The answer to this one also is yes.  It is these guides and positive spirits who were able to silence these voices so I could explain to them what these voices were; how they operated and what they could do to fight back against them.  While I worked in the psych department of the state prison, I had plenty of time to work with these patients.  However, after I retired and went to work in the high pressure hospital ER's dealing with psych patients, I had a very limited amount of time I could spend with them and impart to them the kinds of information they could utilize to fight back against and drive off these voices.  I would also have to be very selective on which ones I chose to work with.  If in any way they thought these voices were their friends or useful to them at all, I didn't waste my time.  For those who really wanted to get rid of them, I had learned from earlier experience that the second the voices see you as a threat they will increase in volume in the patient’s head to block out everything I was trying to get across to them.  Now this is very strange and even today I find it incomprehensible.  No matter which hospital of physical location I was in, sometimes hundreds of miles apart and with different patients, the voices once they realized I was a threat would consistently and predictably tell these patients three things.  This phenomenon was so predictable and consistent that even before I began telling these patients what they could do to fight back against these entities I would ask them if they were at that moment hearing voices.  Usually when I first met these patients their voices would go silent, watch and listen.  The moment they felt threatened, they would tell the patient three things.  In those patients I decided to work with who I determined really wanted to get rid of their voices I would tell them ahead of time, "Your voices are silent now, but in about five minutes they are going to start screaming and this is what they are going to say:"

1.  They would tell the patient that I was stupid and crazy and not to listen to anything I said.  It was too late, by then the patient realized that I understood these things and knew more about them that they did.  Never did I have one get up and leave.  This alarmed the voices and they upped the ante.

2.  They then would command the patient to get up and leave, to get away from me, run out of my office or leave the ER.  Patients hardly ever did this.  They would then up the ante again.

3.  They would command the patient to attack me.  Such an attack only materialized once with a psychotic Apache Indian and it was my fault as I was pushing him too hard and I knew it.  He almost took my head off with a large chair he hurled across the room that clipped the top of my head.

>>Have you ever heard of anyone being attacked while in trance or in hypnotic sessions?<<

The answer to this also is Yes.  There is a four book series of channeled material that David Wilcox has researched extensively and was able to verify that virtually everything verifiable it contained was true.  The trance medium that this very enlightening material was coming through was repeatedly attacked by a negative entity in various ways as it attempted to interfere with and end the transmission of this enlightening and important information.  Some of the attacks were potentially life threatening.  It is interesting that throughout the 4 book series, the person who was asking RA questions was asking RA about this negative entity and what it was up to throughout the series.  RA, the channeled entity would give ongoing reports of these attacks and what the negative entity was doing at present to block and interfere with the flow of enlightening information coming through.  The series of books I'm speaking of is called "The Law of One – The Ra material”.  You can find a pdf copy of Books in our Paranormal page.

>>Has hypnosis helped or hurt?  More importantly, have you ever heard of someone suddenly expressing symptoms after hypnosis sessions?<<

I have not worked with or spoken with any of my patients who had been hypnotized but it would be a fascinating exploration.  Since these entities invade their victim's mind and pose as their victim’s personality and thoughts, I'd wonder who would be speaking under hypnosis, the person or the entity.  I'd wonder if these entities could be hypnotized and convinced to leave.  I know they invade the patient's subconscious if nightmares are any indication.  Schizophrenics have horrible nightmares which wake them up usually around 3 or 4 in the morning when the voices start working on them to deprive them of sleep which also weakens them and makes them more suggestible.  If anything, I'd think that the voices are hypnotizing or brainwashing their victims into believing that the voices are really who they are.

There is only one other psych person I know of who I've worked with who studied the voices schizophrenics hear as long and as hard as I have.  Dr. Wilson Van Dusen, a clinical psychologist who worked in a California psychiatric hospital for 16 years wrote a book on his findings called, "The Presence of Other Worlds."  In it, he revealed that he spoke with the patients voices and attempted to befriend them in order to gain more information about what they were and how they operated.  After his book was published, we traded hundreds of emails.  His findings were very consistent with my own.  I've spoken with the voices schizophrenics heard several times.  They knew I was an enemy and weren't pleasant.  Once they came straight out, told one of my patients who was moving toward a full recovery that they wanted to speak to me directly.  I was taken aback with this as after decades of working with these patients, their voices never spoke to me directly; it was always by telling the patient what to tell me.  In this case they made it very clear they wanted to speak to me directly.  When I asked what they had to say, these words came out of the patient's mouth; "You have no right to interfere with OUR way of life."

Hi again Jerry,

Fascinating to read your responses.  I've commented again and snipped out some stuff for length...

I find the above very very interesting, since these entities in general act in their self-interest and surprisingly, this results not only separation from one another but also in hierarchy, as they can feed off each other.  To have two people "accepted" by these entities suggests either one being attacked and the other person was somehow sympathetic and tuning in or they were both in fact under the influence of the same entity(s).

My wife also smelled odors, often before an attack.  She would say it smelled like garbage, body odor, stale cigarettes, etc.  You mention patients feeling drained.  I have observed this as well, even with myself being present during attacks on my wife.  At wit's end, I didn't know how to deal with it.  My wife's guide voice instructed me how to help and that by not "fighting", which is negative, but by praying and showing compassion, the entities would be turned off.  She instructed that the more love expressed in life in general, drives them away.  Prayer, as in stating rote words, did little, but prayer with loving intention did wonders.  I tried it and noticed positive results, often not without resistance first though.

Funny you mention physical as I also experienced this a couple of times, getting a splitting headache behind my left eye.  Her guide explained the entities had bestowed a "gift" on me.  My wife also experienced headaches, never scratches though.

My experience showed that the voices were either my wife, her guide, other guides if asked to come in and allowed by her main guide, and then lastly, entities who often tried to fake trusted voices.  The really bad ones however almost never spoke, preferring to torture her.  A couple of times, she stiffened into a crucifix position, supporting her entire weight with her wrists and heels, on her back!  I picked her up to take the strain off her body and prayed.  That was a tough session!  It was explained later to me that that entity wanted to scare me away and could care less about what I thought or had to say.  There are apparently different types of entities; some stronger than others.

3-4 in the morning seems to be common, as it is usually most people's deepest rem state.  It was also relayed to me that one entity would choose 3:00, 3:33 also as a way to mock the holy trinity because my wife is catholic.  She would also get nightmares of persecution and being killed.

Thank you for including the resources.  I will check them out!

PS. Just wanted to add a note of hope to all this.  The human-type entities can sometimes cross into the light, effectively leaving forever.  It's rare but does happen.  I can share more if you want to know.

Once again, thanks for sharing and listening, cheers!

Good morning Jerry!

SM:  Hope all is well with you.  I find it remarkable how consistent your experiences are with my own.  My comments below, this time in a new body of the message...

I've never had to opportunity to see affected individuals interact.  I will say though that my wife commented a couple of times where she noticed strangers, on a bus or walking for example, who she felt convinced were influenced.  No voices told her this, but she had a strong intuition upon seeing the person's eyes.  She obviously avoided these people.  She also saw apparitions or ghosts during this period of heightened sensitivity.  They did not appear as any different from you or me however, merely there all along or flashing into view in the corner of her eyes.  The entities did seem aware of not only everything in her memory but of other things as well, beyond normal time-space restrictions.  One time, an entity was trying to scare her away from me, trying to convince her I was a bad person, and showed her a scene from my adolescence, very specific in details, down to the furniture in the room.  This was incredible since she had no possible way of ever knowing this.

Jerry:  Her being able to notice others infested with these entities and intuitively avoid them is completely consistent with what I've been told by my patients.  One of the most common phenomena they reported seeing visually were the "shadow people" three dimensional dark shadows that appear mostly at night and are darker than the rest of the room.  They have no facial features and often no eyes.  When eyes are spotted, they are lime green or red which makes me think these entities are demonic although I've never heard any reports over they years of them physically harming anyone, merely frightening them half to death.

SM:  I agree with your comments about energy drain and positive and religious items or words being repulsive to them.  More importantly though is that the symbols or verses are believed by someone.  I even tested this one time where my wife was in trance, being attacked and in obvious  suffering --- and this is where it gets really crazy -- I dipped one finger in holy water, and another in normal tap water.  When I touched both fingers on each of her arms, she recoiled from the holy water only.  No burns or anything like in the movies, but the response was very real, very loathing to the touch of something holy.  Once I kept a crucifix under my pillow and held it out when she woke in the middle of the night, under the influence of them.  She ripped it from my hands and impaled it into a closet door across the room.  Then it started choking her.  I didn't know what to do, feeling helpless, and sang Jesus loves me, not knowing what else to do.  I am not religious, but felt my heart glow from the song and before long, they released her.

Jerry:  Your Holy Water experiment is very interesting.  Many times I considered smuggling some Holy Water either into the prison or the ER to run such an experiment, but my intuition warned me against it.  I think those suffering attacks from these things would find this information very interesting.  Your experiences during this period of attack on your wife are terrifying.  It is clear that they saw your union with her as a threat to them and were doing everything possible to break you guys up.  I'm sure your relationship came out stronger in the end.  There are two things I've found they go after immediately and try to stop or destroy.  When these patients are put on anti-psychotic medications, they immediately go after these meds, point to the side effects and insist that psychiatry is poisoning them.  They also go after and try to break up any positive relationship the patient may have with anyone and attempt to destroy it in order to isolate their victims from any potential help.  With couples, they do everything they can to put suspicion that a partner is cheating on them or using them.

SM:  For guides... I was told that we all have at least one, usually more guides with us depending on the choices we make in life. As well, depending on whom we invite or let attach to us, we can have many negative ones as well. Our "good" voice is usually buried down at an early age, especially as a result of our chattering egoic mind. If we listen to our heart felt intuition, we feel or "hear" an answer. Like you say, they often communicate in feelings. The negative ones prefer to vocalize, with no end to the deceptions they can cause. I have encountered several who tried to fake being felt as a good guide. When I opened up though, and resonated with that feeling, it soon turned sour and the full vicious wrath of them was perceived. It must be terribly confusing for people to know who or what to trust or take solace in! In reference to your previous paragraphs, the dark ones want to isolate and so distrust. I found the good guide always encouraged to remember that we are never ever alone and that even when scared, God or the light is always with us. So patients who have never felt accepted in what they see as a harsh world, need to have someone feel, to remember, in their deepest heart of hearts, that they are loved and have never been alone.

Jerry:  I've also witnessed these entities trying to convince their victims that they were guardian angels or helping spirits.  They often demonstrated to them that they had knowledge of things that could help the patient that the patient didn't and had special powers and should be trusted.  Once they had the victim's trust and attention, they slowly began to turn negative and malicious.  When a patient reported to me that they had such a guardian spirit I would ask them if this spirit ever said anything negative or gave them negative advice.  If so, I would advise them not to trust it.  I did speak to the spirit of the mother of one of my patients who had been protecting him all along from some of the weaker negative spirits but would disappear when the stronger ones appeared.  I constantly kept an eye on the kinds of things she was telling him.  It turned out to be things a mother would say, "Wash your underwear, stay away from bad people; get exercise" etc.  When we finally succeeded in freeing this patient of his voices for good, she returned and asked to speak to me through the patient.  When I asked what she had to say, she thanked me for helping her son.  I asked her what she was doing over there and she replied she was working as a secretary checking people in.  I went to ask a second question and she told me she wasn't supposed to be speaking to me and that "Everything I needed to know was in the Bible."  She then cut off communication.  The patient heard her for maybe a month or two more then she disappeared and broke off all contact with him.

SM:  For souls who cross... Yes, I have seen that as well where they were greeted by animals or pets! It was the one thing in their life they opened their heart to and had a bond with so it makes sense. The person trusts it and so remembers their own true nature. While this is hopeful in one sense, it is also scary on the other. Apparently, the voices will try to convince the person to commit suicide. At first glance, this seems to make no sense since they feed off the person's fear and negative energy. Unless of course you consider that they can continue to feed off that person's soul in the afterlife. I make two distinctions when talking about the dearly departed. One is that they have "passed" from this earthly life and transitioned into the spiritual plane, but not yet in the light. This is where a soul is truly vulnerable and where all manner of dark entities, confused human souls and demons reside. It is NOT heaven.  Second, if at some point the soul remembers love, forgives, and releases negative energy, they "cross" into the light, the heavenly realm, and reconnect with the source and are immune to dark entities. Any dark entities attempting to touch or enter the light get "burned" but really it is a cleansing healing process, likened to losing their armor, their hatred, etc and being purified in order to return. A suspect a similar form of therapy, where a patient forgives, trusts, and loves again, is equally healing and empowering.

Jerry:  Yes, I've had the same question with regard to the voices telling their victims to kill themselves.  The first conclusion I came to was that such thoughts often go on for a long period of time before the afflicted person makes an actual attempt, all the while generating massive amounts of negative emotional energy which these things feed off of.  I've also received scores of reports from patients who said that just as they were about to kill themselves either a positive entity would convince them not to via direct speech, or someone or some situation would materialize to prevent them.  These stories were so common that I didn't even think to write them down, but remember many.

SM:  I only used hypnosis a few times and after opening the door so to speak with my wife, I felt it best to leave it alone. But you are right, there may be great utility in helping someone with these issues but it would require a steady, focused community of support. It is not something I would ever recommend be done by a single practitioner. I was attacked with a knife; my wife was attacked by choking, headaches, fatigue, and muscular tension. Once she even went into trance spontaneously and almost jumped out of a moving vehicle!  Another time, the entity was trying the hurl her through a hotel window.  These situations can literally be life or death scenarios.
